Myeloma Charity Days
Ebury Hotel continues to support Myeloma UK. Every online booking from our own website generates a contribution to the charity, and through various events like our recent golf day, and coffee morning, we have been able to raise a considerable amount of money.
Henry's Myeloma Golf Day - Friday 21st March 2012
The day was fine, the sun shone and 72 golfers arrived at Boughton Golf Course in 18 teams of four, raising funds for Myeloma UK.
A good golfing day was had by all, with the eventual winners being the 'Toro' team - Terry O'Rorke, Sean Norris, David Draper, and Terry Hewlett.
The day was rounded off with a charity auction. We had some great lots: Rob Key/ Freddie Flintoff signed England Cricket Shirt, Jonny Wilkinson signed Toulon shirt and a Rory McIlroy signed golf shirt. The top lot went for £1700 - a limited edition 2003 Rugby World Cup book signed by Jonny Wilkinson, Martin Johnson, Sir Clive Woodward, and Lawrence Dallaglio. Donated by Mr T O'Rorke. The charity auction raised £4,500 and the raffle £750.
In all, the event raised £9,500 for Myeloma UK.
